AW2025 (Smart Factory + Automation World 2025) is South Korea’s largest industrial automation exhibition, bringing together leading automation companies to showcase the latest technological advancements.
Zivid participated in the Korea Vision Show as part of AW2025 to introduce the new Zivid 2+ R-Series camera lineup to the Korean market. At the Zivid booth, visitors explored three camera models designed for key industrial applications:
A live demo featuring a toy train showcased the threefold speed improvement of the Z2+ R-Series compared to the previous Zivid 2+ cameras. In this demo, the point cloud of the moving toy train was captured in real-time at a speed of 50ms, delivering the highest quality 3D images despite the high speed.
Visitors could also explore our solution partners integrating Zivid’s 3D cameras into cutting-edge automation projects. Here are five standout implementations:
CMES' Automated Fulfillment & Order Processing Solution streamlines eCommerce logistics by automating piece-picking tasks, improving efficiency in sorting, identification, and packaging.
Leveraging Zivid 2+, the system ensures:
HD Hyundai Robotics demonstrated a dual-arm robotic bin-picking solution, featuring Pickit 3D’s vision system, HD Hyundai’s industrial robotic arms, and Tesollo’s DG-5F gripper.
With the Zivid 2+ camera, the 3D vision system enables more efficient multi-object grasping in complex manufacturing and logistics environments.
Universal Robots showcased an on-arm palletizing solution using Roboe’s AI to automate tasks such as mixed-box palletizing, sorting, and depalletizing in logistics centers.
The Zivid 3D camera provides high-definition point clouds while maintaining a minimal footprint to avoid interference with payload and maneuverability. The robot-mounted solution also enhances flexibility, allowing the robot to see and adapt to objects within its reach.
Rainbow Robotics, in partnership with CMES, presented a humanoid robot designed for autonomous manufacturing.
By integrating the Zivid 3D camera, the robot achieves high-precision assembly in a single-stage operation. The camera also enables exceptional image quality, accuracy, and speed for complex tasks.
SICK demonstrated an automotive tire-handling vision system featuring a robot-mounted Zivid 3D camera. This setup ensures high-quality point clouds and 2D images for precise pick-and-place operations. It also allows superior depth perception from close-range scanning.
