Zivid will demonstrate Zivid Motion, its real-time motion-planning software for robotic manipulation, live at VISION 2026, October 6–8, in Stuttgart, Germany.

A demo of Zivid Motion, the company’s new robot motion-planning software, will be showcased at VISION 2026.

OSLO, Norway, 6th October, 2026 - Zivid, a leading provider of 3D vision and motion technology for industrial robotics, today announced a live demonstration of Zivid Motion at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, October 6–8.

At the Zivid booth (Hall 10, Booth 10E53), visitors can see Zivid Motion running on a UR robot equipped with a Zivid 2+ MR130 3D camera and ArUco markers. The demonstration shows the robot planning collision-free paths in real time and performing sub-millimeter-precise touch tasks.

Zivid Motion continuously adapts to changes in the robot’s surroundings, allowing the robot to respond when objects or obstacles in the cell move without re-teaching, additional code branches, or reprogramming. Using continuous 3D vision, Zivid Motion can plan paths close to obstacles instead of taking unnecessarily long routes, helping reduce cycle times and make better use of the robot’s workspace.

This can simplify deployment in automation applications where layouts or operating conditions change, reducing manual motion tuning and rework. Zivid Motion automates cell mapping, calibration, and validation, helping robots adapt as conditions on the floor change.

"We are excited to bring a live demonstration of Zivid Motion to VISION,” said Mikkel Orheim, SVP of Sales and Marketing at Zivid. “Zivid provides the 3D vision and motion technology that enables robots to see and act on the world as it really is. We focus on the underlying perception and motion technology, giving automation integrators and robotics companies the building blocks they need to solve real-world automation challenges.”

Explore Zivid Motion with Sandbox

The new Zivid Motion Sandbox gives customers a way to explore the Motion planner before investing in hardware. Using only a laptop, users can see the planner solve robotic picking scenarios, including navigating around pallets and bins as their contents change.

The Sandbox provides a hands-on way to explore the Motion API and understand how the planner can integrate into existing robotic systems. No robot or camera is required to get started.

Visitors can also see the Zivid 3D camera portfolio running live applications, including:

  • Zivid 2+ R-series: surface finishing, assembly, piece picking, and more.
  • Zivid 3: depalletizing, large bin-picking, and other large-volume tasks.
