Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) 10 software development kit (SDK) supports the Zivid One Plus line through a programming example that uses the Zivid 3D Camera Core API. The 3D camera is also directly supported in the Matrox Design Assistant X flowchart-based interactive development environment (IDE) by way of a software interface also developed using the Zivid 3D Camera Core API.
Lead Software Engineer at Zivid, Mathias Nedrebø said, “Interoperability of cameras and software is a vital ingredient in many complex 3D vision tasks. Capturing, viewing and manipulating high-resolution full-color 3D data needs to be as simple as possible, and integration within the Matrox software environment makes it so for a much wider audience.”
Pierantonio Boriero, director of product management at Matrox Imaging said, “The new generation 3D machine vision cameras are providing OEMs and system integrators with advanced capabilities that demand software innovations to match. Users want ready compatibility in third-party software that minimizes the amount of effort needed to harness the camera’s 3D data. Matrox Imaging is very glad to provide these capabilities for the Zivid One Plus range of cameras.”
Comprising three variants, Small, Medium and Large, the Zivid One Plus is regarded as the world’s most accurate real-time 3D machine vision camera. Promising no-compromise, human-like 3D machine vision, it brings high quality, high speed 3D point cloud data capabilities to a broader range of robotic and industrial automation systems.
