Control Vision Talks with Zivid

The majority of the 400000 robots installed in 2018 are "visually impaired". Achieving flexible picking, assembly and material handling is driving the use of collaborative robots with machine vision. By pairing robots with a human-like 3D vision system, humans and robots can solve work together in a three-dimensional work environment.

During the Forum for Machine Vision & Optical Metrology at Control 2019 in Stuttgart, the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA), the leading 3D sensor and 3D camera vendors present and educate trade show visitors on benefits, applications, and methods of machine vision and optical metrology solutions for factory automation.

Zivid's CEO, Thomas Embla Bonnerud, will present the technical background for precise use of 3D color vision with collaborative and industrial robots in various tasks like bin-picking, logistics, and machine tending.

The presentation is held on Tuesday, May 7th at 11:30, in hall 6, stand 6515.
